The ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations)-Republic of Korea Cultural Tourism Forum, which will discuss boosting tourism between Korea and ASEAN member states, will be held on Oct. 23 at the Asia Culture Center in Gwangju.

The forum is connected to a culture ministers' summit between Korea and ASEAN member countries. Myanmar Vice Minister of Hotel and Tourism Thida Aye, Vu Nam, director of the Tourism and Promotion Office at the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Yu Ji-yun, a researcher from the Korea Culture & Tourism Institute, will make presentations on expanding exchanges in culture and tourism.

An official of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said, "We will hold deep discussions on a tourism development plan that utilizes the ample cultural resources of Korea and ASEAN member countries."

At the same venue, an exhibition of the 177 award-winning works from the international Korean-related content competition "Talk Talk Korea 2019" will run from Oct. 17-31 featuring videos, photos, drawings and cartoons by foreigners.
