The government has sent an additional 20 tons of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 20 said, "The Korean government, in order to provide assistance to the Ukrainian people and refugees facing a severe crisis due to the continued invasion by Russia, sent around 20 tons of additional humanitarian assistance items to Ukraine on April 19."

The aid includes defibrillators, general-purpose ventilators and first-aid kits, and Seoul said it prioritized Ukraine's requests when selecting items to send.

This aid package is part of the additional USD 30 million in humanitarian assistance announced by Korea, following related shipments worth USD 10 million sent last month.

"The Korean government hopes that the assistance will help relieve the suffering of the Ukrainian people and refugees, and the government will positively consider further assistance if necessary," the ministry said.
