President Lee Jae Myung on Aug. 11 dispatched a special delegation to Indonesia.
His spokesperson Kang Yu-jung on Aug. 10 in a written news briefing said the group will visit the Southeast Asian country from Aug. 11-13.
Led by Rep. Cho Jeong-sik of the ruling Democratic Party, the delegation will hold talks with leading influential figures and deliver President Lee's message of boosting friendly and cooperative ties with Indonesia along with his handwritten letter.
Spokesperson Kang said, "The special delegation will deliver the Korean government's intent to bolster the country's special strategic partnership with Indonesia and broadly discuss expanding mutually beneficial and substantive cooperation in a range of sectors including trade and investment, the defense industry, energy and digital transformation plus cooperation between Korea and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations."
