Van Gogh in Paris: A Dialogue with Modernism
Van Gogh laid the most important and artistic groundwork for his artwork in Paris. The exhibition, which provides an in-depth academic and educational study of his art, focuses on his time in Paris (March 1886 - February 1888). About 60 oil paintings mainly from the Van Gogh Museum of Amsterdam will be exhibited. The most noticeable feature of this exhibition is that the collection of Van Gogh’s self-portraits will be larger than in any other exhibition throughout the world. With nine self-portraits on display, Van Gogh’s face full of agony can be appreciated at this exhibition.
