The Dongdaemun Design Plaza is currently holding a retrospective on the iconoclastic work of U.S. artist Andy Warhol. He was a great figure in the visual art movement of the 1960s and in pop art more generally. The exhibition will bring his most prominent paintings from the 1960s to Seoul, depicting objects, events and personalities that typify the iconic culture and status of the U.S., such as Campbell's Soup cans, Coca-Cola bottles, mushroom clouds and Marilyn Monroe.
