Ansel Adams (1902-1984) is a renowned U.S. landscape photographer and environmental activist. Adams focused on taking detailed, realistic shots of nature. Adams was a pianist until he was in his early 20s, but after visiting Yosemite National Park he was fascinated by nature and camera work. In 1919, he joined the Sierra Club, an association formed to protect the environment, and became an environmental activist and a photographer. The Ansel Adams exhibition currently underway in Seoul will be a chance to look at his images of pure and undamaged nature.
