The movie of the month for September is called Forever the Moment and it follows the story of the Korean women's handball team that competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics. This movie is the first full-length film that revolves around the sport of handball.
Coming into the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Korean women's teams are highly favored in many events. However, no one believes there is much of a chance for success for the Korean women's handball team, an odd mix of ‘ajumma' and younger players, competing in a sport that is not very widely publicized. The group has to come together and overcome the odds to prove themselves at the games.
This movie has both dramatic and funny moments and is suitable for all ages. There is no charge to come watch the movie and snacks and drinks will be provided.
