The Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, which was launched in 2005, was the first music and film festival in Korea. The festival kicks off on August 13 with a grand evening celebration, and continues until August 19. Visitors will be able to enjoy 71 movies from 25 countries and more than 20 music concerts.
The festival programs include 첢orean Music Film Special ?and ?Meeting with Japanese Film Music ? The Cinema Concert will screen silent films to the accompaniment of a live orchestra, which in the past has proved to be a particularly popular program. Visitors to the fesitval will even be able to meet famous film music composers, such as Shinichiro Ikebe (the Eel) and Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell and Avalon) from Japan.
