The sixth Shinan Tulip Festival is going to take place at Daegwang Beach on Imja Island, Jeollanam-do (South Jeolla Province), from April 19 to 28. Sinan County, made up of over 1,000 islands off Mokpo on the southwest coast, is an ideal area for growing tulips with an abundance of sunshine and fertile soil. Of those islands, Imja Island boasts the largest tulip-growing area in Korea with a total size of eleven hectares. At this time of year, Imja Island is in bloom with five million tulip bulbs in 43 different tulip species. Programs include making flowerpots, walking through rape flower fields, and riding horses and bicycles.

Transportation	Take a bus from Seoul Express Bus Terminal to Muan, catch a ferry at Jidojeomam Wharf to Imja Island, and transfer to a bus for Daegwang Beach.
