Korean Cultural Center Director Kee Houng Park visited the Turkish and Foreign Languages Application and Research Center (TOMER) Director Timur Gultekin on 15th of January(Fri) and discussed strengthen cooperation between King Sejong Institute and Tomer.
Due to a large number of Korean-related teachers in Ankara University, there is a problem with the smooth visa issuance, so it was decided to diversify the local operating institutions of Istanbul and Izmir King Sejong Institute.
Since the high demand for the Korean language from high-ranking public officials and public institutions in the Ankara region is high, the Ankara King Sejong Institute and Bursa King Sejong Institute decided to operate at Ankara University as before.
Gultekin said he hoped the King Sejong Institute in Ankara will continue to be maintained and said he hoped that the number of Korean language course students would expand further through collaboration with the Cultural Center.
Director Kee Houng Park asked to meet the demand for Korean language courses, to share content such as syllabus, event programs, photos, and videos with Ankara University Language Education Center, and to strengthen online and offline cooperation.
Besides, it was decided to encourage cooperation to increase the number of Korean language course students by encouraging the invitation program for successful students in Korea.
