The Korean Cultural Center in Hungary commemorates the victims of the Mermaid (’Hableány’) ship accident with online concerts and performances on the 2nd anniversary of the tragedy. Besides the memorial concerts of Roman Quartet, Sana Novum Ensemble, and Korean and Hungarian students of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, KCC presents a live dance performance by Batarita Dance Company and Arirang singing by Csíkszerda Choir. The performance of the Baraji company titled Bison will also be presented. It reconstructs in a contemporary format the ssitgimgut ceremony which is an ancient Korean rite that is performed to purify the soul of the deceased and ensure his unhindered departure to the afterlife.
