Events at KCCs abroad

Consul General Byung Hwa Chung met New York City Mayor Eric Adams remotely on March 3. The two leaders spoke on issues of deep concern for the Korean community, such as the City’s efforts to curb anti-Asian hate crimes, and ways to strengthen cooperation between Korea and New York City. 


Consul General Chung conveyed the Korean community’s concerns about the senseless violence targeting Asians. He also discussed ways Korea and New York City could strengthen cooperation and revitalize the people-to-people exchanges in various areas, such as economy, culture, and tourism.
