Korea Forum 2022 was successfully held on October 15 (SAT) at the University of Hong Kong. Co-hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong, Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong and Korean Studies Programme under School of Modern Languages & Cultures, the University of Hong Kong, Korea Forum is a newly lauched secondary school group research and presentation contest that aims to enhance local secondary school students' interest and understanding in Korea-related fields by providing a platform for them to share Korea-related topics with their peers. 














This year,16 junior secondary school teams(S1-3) teams and 13 senior secondary school teams (S4-6) teams applied for the contest, while 6 junior and 6 senior teams were shortlisted and participated in the Korea Forum held at Hong Kong University on October 15 (Sat).

Students share their research insights of various fields related to Korea such as ▲K-drama ▲KPOP ▲K-food ▲economy ▲K-music ▲K-beauty ▲seniority-based culture.










Dr. Kim Su-yun, Ms. Lee Kang-soon, Ms. Chang Eun-kyung from the University of Hong Kong, and researcher/ content creator of Korean culture, Mr. Cyrus Ng joined Korea Forum as judges. 

Dr. Kim Su-yun in the overall review, said "I am very impressed with Hong Kong secondary school students' interest and deep understanding in various fields related to Korea. Not only KPOP and K-drama that are already very popular among young people, there are teams that presented on topics such as the significance of the electronics industry, seniority-based culture, LGBT+ issues in Korea. I hope you have learnt from your peers and stay interested in Korean cultures."  






The Korean Cultural Center will continue to hold Korean cultural events that target local secondary school students such as Quiz on Korea, Korean Culture Drawing Contest, Korea Forum in the future in order to raise Korea's national image among Hong Kong's young generations.
