Korean Cultural Center (Director Park Keehoung) announced that Korean Cultural Center held a three-day K-beauty course, a Korean-style makeup, from October 20 to October 22.
Korean Cultural Center held a K-Beauty course on the makeup of Korean idols or actors that can be seen in K-pop, K-drama, and K-movies. Researcher Ryu Bomi and professional K-beauty artist Jeon Sooha were invited to the K-beauty courses.
The number of applicants for the K-beauty course alone were over 300 people which has become a hot topic. Especially the personal color course, which is popular among all age groups, received a lot of attention from the locals in Turkiye.
Ece Hilal, who participated the course, said, "I chose Idol makeup theme and participated the course. I am really grateful that it was a great opportunity to experience and use Korean cosmetics and to develop my confidence in my appearance to the next level.”
Researcher Bomi Ryu said, “I didn’t know there was such a strong interest in K-beauty in Turkiye,” and “When I saw the opportunity to share Korean culture through makeup, I reaffirmed the great ripple effect of K-beauty”.
This K-beauty lecture was sponsored by various Korean cosmetic companies such as UIQ, RYONIS, People Future Dream (pfd), Jenny House, and Mizon.
Park Keehoung, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkiye, said, “This K-beauty lecture was a great opportunity to introduce various K-contents to Turkiye. We will try to spread the charm of Hallyu content in Turkiye by merging Korean cultural specificity with global universality and connecting it with content and story”.
