Korean Cultural Center (Director: Park Keehoung) announced that it will hold a Korea-Turkiye artist exchange exhibition commemorating the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Turkiye for 25 days from November 1st to November 25th in the exhibition room on the 4th floor of the Cultural Center.

As this exhibition marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Turkiye, 26 artists from Korea and Turkiye were invited to the Cultural Center. With the theme of ‘AHENK’, 26 Korean and Turkish artists composed works of various genres with unique sensibilities and perspectives such as calligraphy, pottery, oil painting, watercolor, sculpture, engraving, glass art, and typography.

On behalf of the Korean participating artists, Kang Ae-hee, a lecturer in calligraphy and painting class at the Cultural Center, said, “I hope that Korea and Turkiye will have a harmonious relationship as brotherly countries, just like the title of the exhibition…”

Representing the Turkish artists, Meral Ozturk said, "Korea and Turkiye have lived in harmony, exchanging in various fields since the time of Goguryeo..."

Park Keehoung, director of the Korean Cultural Center, emphasized, “This exhibition is an exchange of Korean and Turkiye artists who share pain and comfort together. I hope that Korea and Turkiye will become happy partners in all fields, and that bilateral relations will develop in a future-oriented manner based on empathy and communication through culture and art.”
