An Exhibition of Korean Artists in Brazil Comes to an End
June 12, 2023 The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil (Director Kim Cheol-hong) successfully concluded the "Exhibition of Korean Artists in Brazil" on May 31st. The exhibition, which opened on April 3rd, was organized by the association of resident Korean artists (Calligraphy Association, Photography Association, Art Association) and planned with three themes: calligraphy, photography, and art. Over the course of 48 days, the exhibition received a total of 7,285 visitors.
The prominent Brazilian broadcaster Globo's flagship program, 'Antena Paulista', highlighted the cultural center's exhibition for approximately 7 minutes, presenting it as an "exhibition designed from the perspective of resident Korean artists living within the cultural spheres of Korea and Brazil." During the report, the importance of cultural exchange between the two countries and the objectives of the Korean Cultural Center's activities were conveyed.
In addition, the exhibition received coverage on six occasions in local media and on one occasion in national media. During the exhibition period, the workshop "Korean Calligraphy with Brush," organized by the Calligraphy Association, received a positive response from the public.
