Events at KCCs abroad

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York, in partnership with the Federation of Korean American Association of North Eastern, organized the "2023 Next Generation Leadership Forum" in Fort Lee, New Jersey, on July 15. This event aimed to strengthen community connections among young Korean Americans and inspire pride in their cultural heritage.


Various notable Korean-American political figures participated in the forum, including New Jersey Assemblywoman Ellen Park, former Philadelphia City Councilman David Oh, New York City Councilwoman Linda Lee, Mr. Joe Lee from the Pennsylvania Governor's Office, and Palisades Park Mayor Paul Kim. These leaders shared their experiences and successes, providing insights to the next generation of Korean-American students.


Consul General Euy Whan Kim delivered a special lecture where he highlighted the 120th anniversary of Korean immigration to America and the 70th anniversary of the Korea-U.S. Alliance, emphasizing the progress of the Republic of Korea and the significance of Korean-American pride.
