On August 9, 2023, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York held a ceremony to present awards to individuals and their families for their contributions to overseas Koreans on the occasion of the World Korean Day.

Consul General Euy Whan Kim expressed gratitude and congratulations to the awardees who have exemplified leadership in enhancing the welfare of the Korean community and fostering harmony with other ethnic groups in their respective fields. He encouraged them to continue their efforts to promote unity and strengthen the capabilities of the Korean community.
