MINHWA(Korean Folk Paintings and Court) paintings which Brings Happiness

This exhibition is presented by the Hongik Minhwa Design Institute (President: Yong Soon CHOI) and Show Mee Festival Group(Director, Chang Soo SONG) with the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles(Director; Youngsan KIM). The exhibition is called " MINHWA(Korean Folk Paintings and Court) paintings which Brings Happiness" will take place from August 30(Fri) to September 13(Fri), 2013 at Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles, and will feature over 40 art works.

 

During the period of this Exhibit, Professor Byung-Mo CHUNG will explain invitingly at his lecture on the theme of “The Painting Which Brings Happiness -Korean Folk Paintings” to us the importance of the value of Korean culture, and above all, the true character of the Paintings which pursues the happiness. He is the first person that goes around the world to propagate and research the value and meanings of Korean traditional Folk Art culture. He had several Korean art lectures at UC Berkeley, USC and other colleges.
