For the fourth Women on Screen session at the Korean Cultural Center in Sweden, we watched and discussed the romantic comedy 'Dr Bong' (1995, LEE Kwang-hoon). The film follows the story of widowed dentist and serial dater BONG Joon-soo (HAN Seok-kyu) and his downstairs neighbour, lyricist HWANG Yeo-jin (KIM Hye-soo). They most certainly do not hit it off in the beginning, but BONG's son Hun (CHOI Jeong), who sees in Yeo-jin a mother figure, devises a plan to get the two together. This was the first comedy to be featured in the film circle, and it led to a fun discussion afterwards!

The film circle is set to continue every other Thursday until the end of March. We hope to see you there!
