The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology NKFI has received approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to upgrade from an Innovative Educational Institute (IEI) into a Monotechnic.

According to the Rector, Williams Charles Oluwatoyin who disclosed in a press statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, in Lokoja, said the details of the upgrade was contained in a letter by the NBTE dated Monday 18th of March, 2024.

The Rector said with this development, the institution now offers certificates as National Diploma (ND) as against the National Innovative Diploma (NID) that was previously obtainable.
