Events at KCCs abroad

On April 22, The Korean Cultural Center organized a Korean cultural workshop for 35 Thai and foreign students from Pridi Banomyong International College, Thammasat University. In this workshop, Mrs. Jeon Minji, a Korean traditional music instructor taught the students about Samulnori rhythmic playing, “Byeoldalgeori”.

The director of the Korean Cultural Center, Mrs. Lee Sunju said Samulnori is not only a performance that is usually performed before farming to get an abundance of production, but also often be performed during the New Year festival for a good start. Therefore, the Korean Cultural Center has prepared this workshop for the students to welcome the Thai New Year in April, the month of the Songkran festival.

Although the students were a bit shy at the beginning of the workshop, in the end, they enjoyed a Samulnori and sang loudly. KCC also prepared traditional plays such as Beona-dolligi for students.

The Korean Cultural Center sincerely hopes this activity will be a good experience and memory for all students.
