Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center in Turkiye (Director Jeon Seung-cheol, hereinafter referred to as the Cultural Center) announced that it successfully hosted the '2024 International Children's Cultural Festival.'


On April 26th, the Korean Cultural Center in Turkiye participated as the representative of Korea in the '2024 International Children's Cultural Festival,' which was attended by nine countries including the United States, Italy, Spain, China, Switzerland, Australia, Mexico, and the Philippines.


During this event, which was held for kindergarten students under the jurisdiction of the Çankaya Municipality in Ankara, the Cultural Center provided various experiences of Korean culture, including demonstrations on making gimbap (Korean rice rolls), hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) wearing experience for children, coloring activities featuring the Taegeukgi (Korean national flag) and hanbok, as well as tasting Korean snacks such as chicken, bungeoppang (fish-shaped pastry), and yakgwa (honey cookie). These activities aimed to deepen understanding of Korea, the brotherly country, among the attendees.
