“I was confused when I was asked to design the mask I was given to wear earlier. It felt amazing to be told my mask turned out to be one of the best. Even when we cannot see, at least we were able to design the masks given to us to the surprise of everyone,” Rita Ugwu, a visually impaired student with school of the Blind, Kuje said.
What started like every normal event for students drawn from Abuja School for the Deaf, Kuje; FCT School for the Blind Children, Jabi and FCT School for Children with Special Needs, Kuje, turned out to be one of their most memorable days. Besides watching and learning about some Koreans who broke boundaries to become great performers in different creative fields despite their physical challenges, the students had an opportunity to express their dreams through art.
