Events at KCCs abroad

Korean Cultural Center in Turkiye will host the "Respected Father" exhibition from Monday, September 2 to Friday, September 20 in the center's exhibition hall. This exhibition, jointly organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Turkiye and the Chilgok Arts Council, will feature 22 contemporary Korean art pieces.

The exhibition showcased works by male artists such as Kwon Ki-taek, Kim Kyul-soo, Noh Yeol, and Shim Hong-jae, alongside Se Se Seung, the director of the Chilgok Arts Council. Their pieces reinterpreted the roles of husbands, fathers, and men through contemporary art. A special highlight of the exhibition was a work dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the highly respected founding president and father of the nation of Turkiye, which left a deep impression on visitors.

The opening ceremony began with a performance art piece by artist Shim Hong-jae titled "The Traces of Atatürk." This piece was created to commemorate the 101st anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye, symbolizing the footsteps of the Turkish people as they follow the traces of their revered founding father, Atatürk.
