In the spring of 2024, an international jazz exchange program was launched between Hungary and Korea. The first phase of this musical collaboration was the concert by the SINNOI ensemble in May, which explored new possibilities in Korean music by merging traditional Korean music (gugak) with jazz. In the second half of the season, two more concerts introduced ‘gugak jazz’ to the Hungarian audience. The SOOJIN SUH COLORIS TRIO performed at the Jedermann Jazz Café on November 9, followed by BANDO at the Korean Cultural Center in Hungary on November 10.

The concerts were organized in cooperation with JazzFest Budapest, the Jarasum Jazz Festival, and the Korean Cultural Center in Hungary, with the support of KOFICE.
