Events at KCCs abroad

A delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) recently visited Cross River State to strengthen ongoing partnerships in education and technology. They were welcomed by Dr. Justin Beshel, Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovation, and Senator Stephen Odey, Commissioner for Education.

The visit focused on evaluating the KOICA-supported Smart School in Obudu and exploring opportunities to replicate this model across all 18 local government areas of the state. Commissioner Odey emphasized the government's commitment to expanding Smart Schools, aligning with Governor Bassey Otu’s broader educational reforms.

Additionally, the delegation acknowledged KOICA’s recent capacity-building training for 110 civil servants in Cross River State. This program, conducted in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, aimed to enhance governance and administrative efficiency within the state.

The visit underscores the growing collaboration between Cross River State and KOICA, focusing on digital education, innovation, and institutional development.
