The Korean Cultural Centre is proud to collaborate with RISING: Melbourne to present the Space-out Competition, a truly unique and thought-provoking event created and led by Korean artist Woopsyang company. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, this internationally acclaimed competition invites participants to embrace the art of stillness in today’s fast-paced world.
The concept is simple yet powerful: participants are asked to “space out” for 90 minutes while maintaining a stable heart rate. Participants will be judged by artistic and technical score, and selected individuals will be recognised through a awards presentation.
The Space-out Competition offers a rare opportunity to reflect on the value of rest and mindfulness, highlighting the meaning of simply doing nothing in contrast to our often overwhelming modern lifestyles.
This event is a part of RISING: Melbourne.
