The Night of Museums 2025 will be organized nationwide by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary on 21 June. The Korean Cultural Center in Hungary will join the event with its current exhibition and will present accompanying programs on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea’s Liberation Day.
The exhibition Royal Palace highlights the artworks of Lee Jungsook, who reinterprets court embroidery from the Joseon Dynasty. Her works illuminate the refined beauty unique to Korean embroidery and its deep cultural significance. The exhibition aims to shed light on the historical and cultural importance of Korean royal court embroidery and newly presents its beauty by connecting tradition with modernity.
On the Night of Museums, the Center will offer free guided tours in Hungarian at 18:00, 19:00, and 20:00. Between 18:00 and 21:00, visitors can participate in handicraft workshops and try on traditional Korean clothing, the hanbok. Traditional Korean dance and music performances will be held at 18:30, 19:30, and 20:30.
The exhibition and all accompanying programs are free of charge and open to the public without prior registration. Participation in the guided tours and handicraft workshops is subject to availability.
