“Maestro Lim Hun-joung, the next generation pianist Da Sol and Korean Symphony present Beethoven!”
One of the greatest composers, Beethoven’s, most famous Piano Concerto No. 5 and "Symphony No. 5 are performed together. First, the acclaimed maestro, Lim Hun-joung, and the next generation pianist Da Sol come together for the first time to perform the most creative and delicate version of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 "Emperor." With the Korean Symphony Orchestra, artistic director Lim Hun-joung performs the piece that represents Beethoven and is beloved by the public Symphony No. 5. Also known as the “Fate Symphony,” this piece took 5 years for Beethoven to finish. When Beethoven was working on this symphony, people were suffering from the Napoleonic Wars, and Beethoven himself was losing his hearing. He finished this symphony in the hopes of delivering a message of hope to the people suffering from war and to demonstrate his volition to overcome his cruel fate.
