Los Angeles Master Chorale's Special Event

for the Korean Community in LA

            The Korean Cultureal Center, LA & Los Angeles Master Chorale Board of Directors hosted a very speicial event for the Korean community in Los Angeles.

Mugunghwa: Rose of Sharon, written for Koh and the Chorale, is a story of courage and passion and based on writings by Korean engineer and writer Kim Namsoo.  The work relates one man's spiritual path to reunification with his family, homeland and deceased father and blends hints of Korea's cherished musical and cultural traditions with Western art music to create a vibrant soundscape. The work will be premiered March 6, 2011.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale seeks to forge a relationship with the Korean community and wants them to know about this upcoming event.
