Nan Achnas
 is designed to nurture talent in the region, a prize of US$5000 is offered by APSA in collaboration with the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) to a filmmaker from within the pool of nominated films.

Announced on the eve of the Awards Ceremony, the 2010 APSA NETPAC Jury comprised APSA Nominations Council NETPAC members, Professor Hong-Joon Kim (Chair, Republic of Korea), Russell Edwards (Australia) and Nan Achnas (Indonesia).

 
“Park Chan-ok is a filmmaker who operates at a deliberate pace in a world that often prematurely rushes projects into existance. She is not afraid to be difficult and intense without resorting to the imposture of being deliberately obtuse.” Russell Edwards
