Korean Cultural Center 2019 Hangeul Day events
The Korean Cultural Center in Italy (Sejong Institute) held three Hangeul related events from October 1, 2019 to October 18, 2019 to celebrate Hangeul Day.

- Hangeul Workshop (October 18, 2019)
The Hangeul Calligraphy Contest was designed to write short poems written on the manuscript in pretty Hangeul for the general public and beginners. The aim of this conference was to realize not only the beauty of typefaces but also the principles of combination and balance of Hangeul. About 70 people from Rome, Florence and Siena submitted their own Korean characters.

Judging by Martin Zhou Zheng, who wrote 'Tree' Yoon Dong-joo, second place by Benedetta Cecilia Santamaria, who wrote the court 'human goal' Erica Faggiani, who copied the reason, came third.
Prize winners were given a restaurant ticket to a Korean restaurant in Rome.
The Korean Writing Contest was a writing event for learners who had lived in Korea for less than three months. The manuscript was submitted in a 200-character manuscript under the theme of “I've Learned Korean,” and 14 people from Florence, Naples and Rome entered.

Judging from the review, Lulu Zhu, a Korean Studies major at Siena University, and Laura Trimigno, a Korean Studies major at Naples University, took second place, and King Sejong Institute 3 in Korean. Letizia Di Nardo came in third, giving the winner an Amazon online gift certificate with the prize and posted the award on the website. All entrants who did not win prizes were given souvenirs.

The Korean Language Workshop was held for those who do not know Korean to learn the principles of shape, sound, and combination of Hangul within a short time.
A total of seven people participated in the workshop, five of whom were high school students. Although the number of participants was small, the students who participated in the workshop were satisfied with their appearance that they could understand Hangeul and read letters in a short time.
