The Korean Cultural Service New York will host world renowned vocal coach and art song interpreter Dalton Baldwin for only one night. He will be giving the master class to Korean classical singers Sang-Eun Lee (coloratura soprano), Seung Hee Lee (soprano), Sujung Kim (soprano), Yong-Kyung Park (mezzo soprano), Hyuck Chae (tenor), and Jae Woong Yoo (baritone).
Mr. Baldwin has worked with many of the most sought after singers around today. He has previously worked with the very brilliant Elly Amelling, Arleen Auger, Jessye Norman, Theresa Berganza, Frederica von Stade, and Jose Van Dam. His outstanding partnership with baritone Gerard Souzay has taken him on countless tours throughout the musical world. Together, they have made over fifty records, many of which have garnered international awards. He is in constant demand for master classes throughout the United States, Europe, and in Asia. He has received an honorary Doctorate of Music from Oberlin Conservatory and was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from the French government.
The program includes the works of Strauss, Schumann, Debussy, Wolf, Wagner and more.
The master class will be held at the gallery space within the Korean Cultural Service NY located at 460 Park Avenue, 6th Floor, on March 16th at 7PM.
