Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center held a “Korean Movie Night” (regular screening) in the multipurpose room of the Cultural Center on February 7, 2020 (Friday) at 7 pm and screened the <Contemplation> by Han Jae-rim (subtitles in Italian, starring Song Kang-ho and Jo Jung-seok).


The Cultural Center screened Korean films on the first Friday of each month in order to respond to the growing interest in Korean films after receiving the Golden Palm Award at the Cannes Film Festival by director Bong Joon-ho.


About 110 general audience attended the screening that day. Due to the lack of seats in the theater, some of the people were unable to watch and had to return.

Lorenzo Frattaglia said, “I have been curious about Korean films after watching a movie called Parasite. The work I watched today was also a very good work. I hope that I will continue to attend the Korean film screening at the Cultural Center. I was also interested in Korean traditional clothes.”


Sofia Delfino said, “I had a lot of fun. It was my first time attending at the invitation of the Cultural Center staff, and I am happy to see a really wonderful movie.”


“I was surprised to see the crowds,” said Marianna Franze. I am glad that many Italians are starting to take an interest in Korean cinema. It was the first time I came across the idea of ​​meditation, and it was a very interesting film.”
