Events at KCCs abroad

The 14th episode of K-Food Webtoon Series is Jeyuk bokkeum!

Today we would like to introduce Jeyuk bokkeum. This dish is made with thinly sliced pork marinated in a gochu-jang (red chili pepper paste) sauce. It is one of the most popular dishes in Korea and throughout the world.

The KCC launched the K-Food Webtoon series last April to introduce Korean food and recipes to provide an opportunity to learn how to cook and try Korean food from home. We hope you enjoy these recipes and continue to experience Korean culture at home.

About ‘Jeyuk bokkeum’

For Jeyuk bokkeum, fatty cuts of pork belly taste the best. If lean shoulder or tenderloin is used, cut it into thin slices for a tender texture. The spicy gochu-jang sauce used to marinate the meat is more suitable for pork or chicken than it is for beef.
