Sejong, October 5 - During her visit to the Startup Center at Aalto University in Finland and her meeting with the organizers of Finland's SLUSH1 on September 20 (local time), South Korean Minister LEE Young of SMEs and Startups discussed entrepreneurship policies, as well as support for youth entrepreneurship exchanges between South Korea and Finland.

During the meeting with Janne Laine, Vice President of Aalto University, and Eerika Savolainen, the representative of SLUSH, Minister Lee Young explored Finland's startup ecosystem and policies on entrepreneurial spirit. The two sides laid a foundation for mutual startup cooperation through the meeting.

During the visit, the Minister promoted South Korea's startup festival, COMEUP, as well as the K-Startup Grand Challenge for foreign startups seeking to establish themselves in South Korea. She also promoted the K-Starverse startup ecosystem, which extends beyond physical spaces. She encouraged active interest and participation from Finnish startups.

Minister Lee Young stated, "This visit was very informative to learn about Finland's entrepreneurial spirit and ecosystem, including a 'Day for Failure' to embrace and encourage innovation." She added, "MSS will make every effort to facilitate communication and exchanges in entrepreneurship between young entrepreneurs from both countries."
