Top 10 Hit Products of 2012 in Busan Busan Development Institute has selected the ‘Top 10 Hits of 2012 in Busan’ under five categories - Busan-based products, policies, people and organizations, architecture, and companies - that have had a very positive effect on the city’s development this year. Busan-based products feature prominently in the list of nationwide hit products reflecting regional characteristics. The hit products have been chosen based on the recommendations of experts via interviews and email.

① The Thieves, a movie filmed in Busan, has set a new box office record as the most watched film in Korean movie history.

② Gamcheon Culture Village in Saha-gu, nicknamed “Busan’s Santorini”, has become an icon of urban regeneration.

③ The 95th Lions Clubs International Convention was successfully held at BEXCO and Lotte Hotel from June 22-26, 2012

④ A ‘Die Hard’ police officer showed police professionalism by arresting a drug offender, and the dramatic arrest scene was uploaded on YouTube and went viral.

⑤ Busan-based bakery OPS expanded nationwide and its sales are up dramatically.

⑥ ‘Things You See When You Pause’, Buddhist monk Haemin's book, heals your mind with wisdom.

⑦ Rediscovering Busan through storytelling

⑧ The Galmaetgil footpath along the Hoedong Reservoir becomes popular.
