The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Minister Kwon Oh-eul) announced that Captain Kim Hyun-il of the Republic of Korea Air Force and Lieutenant Colonel James Power Carne of the British Army have been selected as the “Korean War Hero of the Month” for April 2026 in recognition of their sacrifice and dedication for the freedom and peace of the Republic of Korea during the Korean War.
