The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) held a meeting with Kim Soo-jong, Founder, CEO and CTO of Innospace, at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 3, in the Minister office in Sejong. The meeting was organized to encourage the success of Korea's first commercial test launch of a space rocket in Brazil on March 19 (March 20 in Korea).

At the meeting, Minister Lee Jong-ho said that the success of Innospace marked Korea's entry into the New Space era, and Kim shared the background of the company's successful technology development in a relatively short period of six years, the difficulties in the early days of the company, and plans for Innosapce's future strategy. In particular, Kim recommended the need to foster advanced human resources in the space sector, strengthen support for private space companies, create a stable demand for innovative technologies through public satellites development, and expand private launch sites and test facilities to foster the Korean space economy.

Minister Lee said that he will do his best to ensure that his recommendations are reflected in policies and budgets, and encouraged Innospace, which has secured world-class hybrid rocket technology, to become a booster of the domestic space industry with more good news soon.
