Pianist Chon Sae Yoon won the Dublin International Piano Competition 2018 in Dublin on May 29. This is a first for Korea, and the first time that an Asian musician has won the contest.

The winner took the prize of EUR 15,000. He also received the Mai Hannon Prize for best performance of a Liszt piece. Finally, he also secured a list of engagements, such as a concert with the London Symphony Orchestra, and a recital in the Wingmore Hall in London and at Carnegie Hall in New York.
