The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Aug. 24 will host a concert jointly with the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange to commemorate the 2021-22 Year of Cultural Exchange between Korea and China and the 30th anniversary of bilateral ties at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul's Songpa-gu District.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Aug. 8 said it will cohost a concert with the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) to commemorate the 2021-22 Year of Cultural Exchange between Korea and China and the 30th anniversary of bilateral ties.
On Aug. 24 from 8 p.m. at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul's Songpa-gu District, the concert will celebrate the bilateral friendship through music for two hours. Korean National Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Chung Chi-yong will be accompanied by Chinese cellist Wang Jian and Chinese violinist Ning Feng, winner of the International Violin Competition Premio Paganini.
The first part of the concert will have Ning play Barber's Violin Concerto No. 14 and the second will feature Wang performing Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme, Op. 33 with the orchestra. The orchestra will start the show with Dvorak's Carnival Overture No. 92 and end it with Stravinsky's Firebird Collection.
The ministry said, "This concert will be a time to confirm 30 years of Korean-Chinese friendship built through cultural exchanges and enjoy beautiful melodies and harmony created by musicians from the two countries."
Admission is free but limited to people aged 7 or older. From Aug. 8 at 2 p.m., one person can reserve up to two tickets online on the official website of Lotte Concert Hall (https://www.lotteconcerthall.com/eng).
