K-pop supernova BTS in April will begin their world tour of 34 cities at Goyang Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do Province.

The group's management agency Big Hit Music on Jan. 14 released on its official social media a poster containing the schedule of the tour.

The tour will start in Goyang on April 9 and 11-12 as part of 79 planned concerts in 34 cities including those in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Performances in Japan and the Middle East will be added later.

To mark the 12th anniversary of BTS' debut on June 13, 2013, concerts in Busan are slated from June 12-13.

The North American tour will start from April 25-26 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, with 28 shows in 12 cities planned.

Domestic media including Yonhap News quoted Big Hit as saying BTS is the first K-pop act to hold concerts in El Paso, Texas, and Foxborough, Massachusetts, in a North American tour and just the second group after Coldplay to hold a solo show at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California.

From June to July, the boy band will move to Europe for 10 performances in five cities including London and Paris. Then come concerts in five South American cities including Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, and later in the Middle East.

Ahead of its world tour, BTS on March 20 will drop its fifth studio album with 14 tracks.
