K-pop juggernaut BTS has scored its seventh No. 1 song on Billboard's main singles chart Hot 100.
Billboard on March 30 released its April 4 chart preview showing "Swim," the title track of the group's fifth and latest studio album "Arirang," atop the chart.
BTS' six other chart-toppers on the Hot 100 are "Dynamite," the remix of "Savage Love," "Life Goes On," Butter," "Permission to Dance" and "My Universe," the latter being a collaboration with Coldplay.
The boy band now has the fifth most No. 1 hits on the chart since the Hot 100 debuted in August 1958. The Beatles are the all-time leader (20), followed by the Supremes (12), Bee Gees (nine) and Rolling Stones (eight).
In its first week of release from March 20-26, "Swim" had 15.3 million streams, 25.8 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 154,000 digital and physical single sales in the U.S. for the week ending on March 26.
"Through an album we released after a long hiatus of three years and nine months, we have received the great honor of reaching No. 1 on the Billboard chart," BTS said on March 31 through its management agency Big Hit Music. "We deeply thank not only Army (BTS fan group) for always giving us their unconditional love and support, but also everyone who listened to our music and shared their hearts with us."
