K-pop phenom BTS on July 19 performed as a co-headliner at the halftime show of the championship game of this year's FIFA World Cup soccer finals.

The group's management agency BigHit Music that day said BTS appeared at MetLife Stadium, called New York New Jersey Stadium for the tournament, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Dressed in red outfits, the seven members gave a rousing rendition of their global hit "Dynamite."

The performance was organized by the international civic group Global Citizen to promote the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which seeks to expand access to education for children in underserved communities worldwide.

BTS said it was "honored" to perform on a stage members had enjoyed watching since they were young.

Ahead of the performance, BTS concluded the European leg of its Arirang World Tour with concerts in five cities -- Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich and Paris -- drawing a combined 717,000 fans across 10 performances. The Paris show alone attracted 92,000 spectators, a record for the group.
