Hollywood actor Elijah Wood once said, “Dream the impossible because dreams do come true.” For me the thought of attending a concert by my favorite K-pop group, A.C.E, seemed distant and unapproachable, almost impossible to achieve. And even though it took a while, with perseverance and hard work I managed to come all the way to Korea and finally turn my dream into reality, which proves that with real dedication even impossible dreams can turn into achievable goals. From here on, I would like to share what attending A.C.E’s fan-con “To Be an A.C.E in Seoul” felt like through a dedicated fan’s perspective.

Following the success of their first Seoul fan-con A.C.E Global Fan-Con 2018—Sweet Fantasy, which took place earlier this year, A.C.E decided to host not just the one but a second fan-con on October 13 at Sejong University in Seoul. This time the boys were joined by Chan—an original member of A.C.E who has been promoting the nine-member K-pop group UNB for the past seven months, after becoming a finalist at the KBS reality show “The Unit.” A.C.E’s fans, known as Choice, were ecstatic to see the group perform in their original five-member line-up.

The group opened the event in a spectacular way by performing their title tracks “Cactus” and “Callin,” showing off the group’s powerful dance moves. After a short break and a formal group introduction, A.C.E continued to perform their songs “Black and Blue,” “DESSERT” and the title track “Take me Higher” from their repackaged album, “A.C.E Adventures in Wonderland.” Furthermore the attending fans were able to enjoy watching A.C.E perform the dance to their recently released collaboration song, “I Feel so Lucky.” The track, a single by French artist Hcue, featuring the Korean group, gained a lot of popularity online after its release on September 14.

The five-member group did not stop there. In order to please their beloved fans, A.C.E prepared various exciting and enjoyable stage performances. Chan showed off his singing and dancing skills in a solo stage mix, capturing the hearts of his dedicated fans. Later in the program, A.C.E performed dance covers of Korean phenomenon BTS’s hit songs “Fake Love” and “DNA.” Last but not least A.C.E mentioned that they would like to continue performing as a five-member group, after Chan’s absence for the last seven months. The boys mentioned that A.C.E is A.C.E only when all of the members perform together and that they would like to continue to stick together in the future as well. Hearing that, the fans burst out in happy tears.

Here you can watch the Behind-the-scenes video of the fan-con, as filming was not allowed during the event.

The talented group ended the fan-con by treating their fans to a new song and its accompanying choreography. The track is titled “She’s a Beauty.” The successful event makes us, Choice, look forward to A.C.E’ future activities. The fans also wish the boys a lot of success during their upcoming A.C.E WORLD TOUR [TO BE AN ACE] in November and December.
