Last year from June to October, Korea.net assigned monthly missions to its Honorary Reporters and encouraged members to work in groups. For the September mission of creating a fall magazine, the focus was to share stories of and experiences with Korea.

Thirteen Arabs teamed up to create Colors of Korea, which was one of 12 magazines selected by Korea.net to pose online.

The magazine team decided to release the magazine quarterly, and the print edition was published on May 10.

Because we were impressed with the magazine, the decision was made to release one every quarter. The focus will be on the similarities and differences between the two countries with the purpose of spreading Korean culture and highlighting Egyptian civilization.

To go more public with our project, we contacted Korean Ambassador to Egypt Hong Jin-wook on April 30. We finally got his reply on May 8 to visit the embassy and started binding the two issues into a hard copy magazines on May 10. Finally, we took the two issues with us to the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) and the Korean Embassy in Cairo on May 12.

The ambassador invited our team to the embassy with hard copies of the magazine, with eight showing up. Team member Ghada Mohamed told him that she and fellow member Alaa Atef attended the "K-Culture Colored with the Nile" event in January hosted by the Korean Culture and Information Service.

Ambassador Hong then stressed the importance of such an event in Egypt to spread Korean culture and praised our role as Honorary Reporters. After the meeting, the team went out for Korean food and took photos.

Afterwards, the team started work on the spring edition of the magazine under the theme "Life Is a Flower." We also await the induction ceremony on May 20 for this year's incoming class of Honorary Reporters and K-influencers under the theme "Harmony with K-culture"

Furthermore, we are eager to take part in new programs this year and more opportunities to work together.
