Interest in Korea's medical tourism is steadily rising, with patients from abroad seeking treatment in internal medicine, plastic surgery and dermatology or medical checkups.
This year's Medi Supporters are from all over the world including Japan, Vietnam, Singapore and Russia
Medi Supporters, an annual program in its third season, is based in Busan under the theme "Heal and Joy." This year's members come from countries including Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Russia and Mongolia.
As the nation's No. 2 city, Busan is increasingly popular with international tourists. The Busan Metropolitan City and Busan Economic Promotion Agency are promoting the coastal metropolis as a medical tourism destination.

On Oct. 17, this year's Medi Supporters gathered at Busan Youth Center near Jagalchi Market, a famous seafood spot, to attend the opening ceremony for this year's program. They received a briefing on this year's activities and ate lunch together afterward.
This group photo was taken at the end of the opening ceremony for this year's Medi Supporters.
The program runs from October to November, with participants promoting Busan's medical tourism on social media. As one of this year's supporters, I am honored to join a community showcasing Korea's high-quality medical services and tourism.
