President Yoon Suk Yeol and first lady Kim Keon Hee have shown a warm sense of giving through a donation in time for the year-end and New Year's holidays.

Save the Children Korea, the domestic branch of the UK-based humanitarian non-governmental organization Save the Children Fund, on Dec. 8 said Senior Presidential Secretary for Civil Society Kang Seung-kyu delivered the presidential couple's donation and card to the charity group.

A ceremony was held on Dec. 7 at the organization's headquarters in Seoul's Mapo-gu District for the donation, as well as encourage giving and sharing organizations and deliver donations to spread a culture of charity and sharing.

President Yoon said, "The government will also help your efforts to convey love and hope so that nobody is left behind," adding, "Let's move forward together based on the spirit of solidarity."

Oh Joon, chairman of Save the Children Korea's board of directors, told Secretary Kang at the ceremony, "I thank the president and his wife for their warm sense of sharing during the year-end and New Year's holidays," adding, "We hope that you pay greater attention to and support the realization and protection of children's rights and seek to improve policy."
