The Olympic torch for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games has completed its journey across Gyeongsangnam-do Province.
The torch embarked on a replica of a "turtle ship" in Tongyeong City on Nov. 13, and the next day was onboard a modern-day naval vessel, Korea’s first stealth ship the ROKS Munmu the Great (DDH-976), in Jinhae City. The torch then took a boat across the natural wetlands at the Upo Wetlands in Changnyeong County on Nov. 15.
The Olympic flame received a unique welcome from the Black Eagles, the Republic of Korea Air Force aerobatic team, while it crossed the Samcheonpo Bridge in Sacheon City on Nov. 17.
The torch headed to Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do Province, on Nov. 18 to continue its journey there, where it will visit Suncheon, Gwangju and Yeosu, staying in the province until Nov. 27.
